The pesticide market as a whole is stabilizing and improving; although downstream players are mostly following up cautiously on a need-based basis, overall willingness to stock up has picked up somewhat. Several varieties have recently had relatively strong support from cost-driven logic, and various factors have led to supply contraction, producing a fairly strong short-term rally; however, owing to pass-through issues along the industrial chain, there is also an expectation that higher prices will trigger negative feedback from downstream, and the market is temporarily watching how far end-user demand can absorb the increases. Internationally, the Middle East geopolitical situation remains volatile: the United States at one point stated it might resume armed strikes against Iran, and, combined with ongoing conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, geopolitical risk has risen again. In reality, the path to peace talks remains tortuous, navigation risk at the two key chokepoints — the Strait of Hormuz and the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait — remains high, cost support from the petrochemical industry still cannot collapse rapidly in the short term, and the geopolitical premium on the cost side of some varieties continues to rise. Herbicides: The herbicide market as a whole currently shows a certain stabilizing and repairing trend; the major single products glufosinate and glyphosate have both seen supply-side repair on the back of rising raw-material prices. Although geopolitical issues continue to generate alternating news, the cost-push problem they bring remains difficult to resolve quickly; on the demand-absorption side, the market is still watching for further drivers. Recently, glufosinate prices jumped sharply, mainly affected by tight supply and price increases in raw-material intermediates and by international political issues; the market is largely focused on trading activity and sustainability after the sharp price rise, and follow-on increases in substitutes have already appeared. Overall, downstream players mostly maintain need-based purchasing, and demand-side follow-through is relatively cautious.

Yellow phosphorus: Yellow phosphorus market prices rebounded slightly today; earlier pre-sales shipments were relatively decent, enterprises' inventory-emptying pressure has eased in succession, and the tight spot situation has not yet fully reversed; upstream producers still have the conditions to hold prices firm and, after prices stabilized, have engaged in volume-controlled selling, so market prices stabilized and rebounded. Although downstream players mostly maintain moderate, need-based follow-up, the tight spot situation still affects downstream purchasing sentiment, and the market may run relatively firm for the time being.
